R&TTE becomes RED on the 13th of June. What does it mean for your company?

Transition time from R&TTE to RED (Radio Equipment Directive) ends on the 13th of June 2017 and after that your products that are still in production cannot necessarily be placed on the markets if they have not been tested according to the RED requirements.
If your products have been tested according to the RED requirements you are in the safe place and can continue normally exporting your products on the market.

How do we switch from R&TTE to RED?

If your product has been tested according to R&TTE, there is often mandatory testing to be done in order to make the product RED applicable. Please contact TESTiLABS for further assistance.

What effects does the RED have on the products on the market?

If the product is still going to be produced and exported after 13th of June 2017 it should be tested according to RED requirements.
